Ed&Wolf – About the game

Image
Before the Christmas-themed posts, let me tell you a bit more about this game. Not too much, I would like to keep the story in secret until the very last moment. Let’s see the brief description of this dark and mystical game: As every night Ed&Wolf are having an adventurous journey through their garden and house to gather crystals, it seemed an obvious solution to create a tile-laying game to show how the hidden corners are revealed one by one. Each player has a time card deck to manage their own time to achieve their goals. Every movement costs time but crossing the obstacles costs much more! I don’t know how innovative an idea it is, but I am so proud of it. It also makes the game exciting (= cruel) that (at least) one of the players has to reach Ed’s room until the time cards run out. The player who succeeds gets extra victory points. There are very special objects to help Ed and Wolf during their night rush. All funny stuff, invented by a child’s fantasy. I do hope you will lik

Ed&Wolf – Completed

Image
It is always a pleasure for me to announce the birth of a new game. This time it was especially hard to complete the design process because Ed&Wolf’s character got really close to me. …but it's time to let them go! The result is crazy and unusual –  as always. During the design process, I realised that my mathematical shortcomings make our games unique and special. Ed&Wolf is a perfect sample to prove it. I hope you will love their story as much as I do. :-) (Expected launch is January 2022, Age: 7+, Number of players: 2, Duration: 30-45min)

Ed&Wolf – backgrounds

I often dream about extremely nice places and taking photos of them. It’s a great disappointment to wake up and realize that nothing was real and nothing is left behind. The memory disappears before I could make a sketch of it. Although Ed and Wolf’s world is not as wild as my dreams I decided to record all my impressions about it. The following pictures are mostly locations, backgrounds, but I hope they will fit in the game.

I hope you are all good and recovered from the shock of the first school day(s)! Did you have a lovely holiday? This summer passed quickly with returning to the normal way of living, don't you think? I enjoyed having people around me again: They gave me lots of new ideas and inspiration. For the first time after the miserable period of lock-downs, my imagination flowed and I dived myself deeply into Ed&Wolf’s story which did not stop at the borders of a board game. The pictures piled up on my desk and I hope this very detailed story will be published not just as a board game but a picture book too. During the upcoming weeks, I will show you all I have and if you like the pictures I will do my best to fill up the collection of printings on the Marbushka website!

The Lost Necklace - out now!

Image
The Lost Necklace is back! It was one of our first games and one of the most successful too. The second edition has a brand new design and a fresh visual world but the rule hasn’t changed at all. When we found these amazing Czech beads a couple of months ago, we knew they were made for our princess. We hope that their beauty gives a sparkle to your children’s creativity. We wish you lots of fun with it!

Hello, Sunhine!

The Lost Necklace – Second Edition

While Ed and Wolf’s gloomy world slowly turns into a game, I finished another one. We had a sudden idea to re-publish The Lost Necklace (one of our very first games) when we found these amazing Czech beads. Their material, style, quality surely meet the princess’ taste (and also with the safety regulations :-D). The game has a brand new design and a fresh visual world but the rule hasn’t changed at all. Many of you have missed this game, I hope you will be satisfied with the result! We will do our best to release it during the summer.
